COTA ACT manages Seniors Cards in the ACT, which are combined with Transport Canberra MyWay cards – one card allows for public transport access, and the Seniors Card discounts and services.
How to apply for an ACT Seniors Card
If you are over 62*, a permanent resident of the ACT and working 20 hours or less each week you are eligible for an ACT Seniors Card.
*Please note: In November 2019, the ACT Government announced the eligibility age for ACT Seniors Cards will be dropped to 60 years. This change will come into affect on 1 July 2020.
Applications for ACT Seniors Cards are available from Access Canberra Service Centres, ACT public libraries or the COTA ACT office (applications for ACT Seniors Cards are not available online).
You will be required to provide proof of age and residency (acceptable forms of identification include: drivers licence birth certificate or extract, Australian passport, ACT government invoice, bank papers, DSS pension or DVA pension card)
