In spite of the Coronavirus, Council on the Ageing (COTA) ACT is offering one free online exercise session a week via the Council on the Ageing ACT Facbook page. These will be delivered by an accredited Strength for Life fitness professional. If you’re missing your regular exercise sessions, this is the class for you!
This is a great opportunity for older Canberrans (and anyone around the world) to ‘Like’ the COTA ACT Facebook page so that you can participate in these free online classes that are specifically designed for older people. These classes will take place Thursday afternoons at 1pm. Each class will be 30 minutes in length.
All you will need to participate is a chair, comfortable clothing and shoes!

To be able to participate in these online classes, follow these simple steps:
- Login to the internet from your computer, mobile or tablet.
- Type the following weblink into the Google search bar or click on the following link – facebook.com/cotaact/
- Once you are on the Council on the Ageing ACT Facebook page, click on the ‘Like’ button.
- Once you have clicked on the Facebook page ‘Like’ button, come back to the page 10 minutes prior to the class starting, scroll down the page until you see the live exercise session appear in a box below.
