Getting to and from the Expo

The ACT Seniors Week Expo

Thursday 26 March, 10am-3pm

Budawang Pavilion, Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC)

 

By bus

The Seniors Expo will be serviced by a free shuttle provided by Transport Canberra.

From Tuggeranong Station
Catch the southside shuttle (details to come) or;
Catch the Blue Rapid 300 (platform 8) series to City Bus Station and then catch the light rail and alight at the Flemington Road/EPIC stop.

From Woden Station
Catch the southside shuttle (details to come) or;
Catch the Blue Rapid 300 (platform 8) series to City Bus Station and then catch the light rail and alight at the Flemington Road/EPIC stop.
From City or Gungahlin Station
Catch the light rail and alight at the Flemington Road/EPIC stop.
From Belconnen Station
Catch the northside shuttle (details to come) or;
Catch the 250 service to Gungahlin Station and then catch the light rail and alight at the Flemington Road/EPIC stop.

By car

COMING FROM THE SOUTH – CANBERRA CITY
Follow along Northbourne Ave for approximately 5.km.
You will come to a set of T traffic lights for the Barton Highway.
Still keep heading straight through Northbourne Avenue.

  1. 1. Turn left into Flemington Road, 2nd set of traffic lights after the Barton Highway lights.
    Approximately 200 metres from the corner, look to your right and you will see the main gate entrance to Exhibition Park in Canberra.
    Turn right into the main gate entrance.
  2. 2. Follow Northbourne Avenue/Federal Highway and pass Exhibition Park (on your left). Turn left at the roundabout onto Stirling Avenue (just past Caltex Service Station). Turn left into Exhibition Park and follow the road until you reach the Budawang Pavilion (on the left).

 

COMING FROM THE NORTH – SYDNEY / GOULBURN
As you are approaching Canberra you will come to a large roundabout with a (BP) service station to your left.

Go straight through the roundabout

  1. 1. Turn right onto Stirling Ave (just before Caltex Service Station) and turn left into Exhibition Park
  2. 2. Turn right at the 2nd set of traffic lights into Flemington Road. Approximately 200 metres from the corner, look to your right and you will see the main gate entrance to Exhibition Park in Canberra. Turn right into the main gate entrance.

COMING FROM THE SOUTH – YASS
Follow the Barton Highway to the very end to the set of traffic lights at Northbourne Avenue. (There is another left turn into Randwick Road near the racetrack before the end of the Barton highway, ignore this and keep going to the end of the Barton Highway as it is easier to go this way while towing).
Turn left at the lights onto Northbourne Avenue.
Turn left at the 2nd set of traffic lights into Flemington Road. There are signs for Exhibition Park.
Approximately 200 metres from the corner, look to your right and you will see the main gate entrance to Exhibition Park in Canberra.
Turn right into the main gate entrance.

 

Parking
There is ample parking within the grounds of EPIC, including in front of the Coorong Pavilion, and in the surrounding areas, including Magpie Park, Wagtail Way and Grandstand Carpark, all of which are within 100m walk of the venue.

 

There will be a drop off zone at the front of the Budawang Pavilion. Please note this is a set down area only – strictly no parking.
